The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration was established by the order of the Rector dated 31.10.2017 № 509 / unit. on the basis of the Institute of Economics and Management (was established in 2003), and began its existence in 1972 (the year of the Faculty of Engineering and Economics).
Subsequently, the faculty was reorganized several times and changed its name: the Faculty of Aviation Works and Transportation (1987), the Faculty of Economics and Management (1993), the Faculty of Economics (2001).
During this period, the faculty was headed by Associate Professor, later Professor V. Yelagin (1972 – 1975, 1993 – 2000), Associate Professor A. Subbotin (1975 – 1978), Associate Professor, later Professor V. Rodchenko (1978 – 1981), Associate Professor S. Bogdanov 1986 – 1989), associate professor V. Lisoval (1981 – 1986), professor V. Lapshov (1989 – 1993), professor V. Krivutsa (2000 – 2001), associate professor V. Zhebka (2001-2003), associate professor D. Bugayko 2003-2009), Professor OV Arefiev (2009-2017).
Since 2017, Svitlana Volodymyrivna Petrovska, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Professor, has been appointed Director of the Institute of Economics and Management, and since December 24, 2018, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration.
In March 2021, Professor Serhiy Frantsovych Smerichevsky was elected Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration.
