The Faculty of Law was founded in 2010, but its history goes back to 2000 (Faculty of Linguistics and Law).

The Faculty of Law has 5 departments:

• Department of Theory and History of State and Law;
• Department of Constitutional and Administrative Law, Head – Olha Huzar, Candidate of Law, associate professor;
• Department of Criminal Law and Proceeding, Head – Sofia Lykhova, PhD in Law
• Department of Civil Law and Proceedings, Head – Svitlana Vishnovetska, PhD in Law;
• Department of Economic, Air and Space Law, Head – Lyubov Netska, PhD in Law, associate professor.

Strong fundamental and thorough practical training, profound knowledge of foreign languages and practical training in the law departments of enterprises, organizations and institutions give the graduates the opportunity to work in any sphere of economic activity.

The department pays a special attention to development of scientific cooperation with leading world institutions of higher education: Aerospace University (Korea), Faculty of Law at Zagreb University (Croatia), Leiden University (the Netherlands), Faculty of Law and Administration of Jagiellonian University, Krakow (Poland) Al-Baath University, Homs (Syria), American Law Schools Association (USA), Faculty of Law at Paris University (France), Faculty of Law at Belarusian State University (Belarus), Dresden Technical University (Belarus), Dresden University of Technology (Germany), Jawaharlal Nehru University (Germany).
